North Dakota Privacy Policy

North Dakota has enacted privacy laws which govern financial institutions sharing of consumer information. North Dakota law requires that a consumer affirmatively “opt in” prior to the sharing of any information with affiliates or third parties that is not necessary for the processing of a consumer-initiated transaction.

This privacy law affords North Dakota consumers with certain rights that are not disclosed in Stockton Mortgage Corporation’s federal privacy notice under Regulation P (the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or “GLBA”).

Under North Dakota law, financial institutions are not permitted to share a consumer’s nonpublic personal financial information with a third party without the express written consent of that consumer. Stockton Mortgage Corporation does not share any nonpublic personal information of North Dakota consumers with third parties unless the consumer has opted-in to such sharing in advance under the terms of the regulation (and has not otherwise revoked this consent), or the sharing is required as part of a transaction initiated by the consumer (such as to process title work or provide closing services on a residential mortgage loan).

Please be aware that Stockton Mortgage Corporation takes information security seriously and is committed to adhering to all financial privacy laws, including local and state laws like North Dakota’s “Opt-In” law. Stockton has enacted protocol and security practices designed to ensure the confidentiality and safeguarding of all consumer information, and to otherwise limit sharing as required by applicable law.
