About Melanie Smith
Melanie spent 10 years as a mortgage loan underwriter prior to moving to the sales side as a loan originator in 2009. Her experience underwriting loan files helps her find the right fit for each situation, from first-time homebuyers to investors and clients moving to their forever home.
Melanie’s favorite part of originating is learning about her clients — what is important to them, what scares them about the process, and what their comfortable financial situation is — and then working together to formulate a plan.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her partner of more than 10 years, her niece and nephew, and her two furry roommates, Stuart and Norman. Family time, coffee, and reading are a few of her favorite things.
