Be on the lookout for mail sent by USPS (regular mail) that tells you where to make your mortgage payments. If you haven’t received a letter and your first payment is due, please mail a check along with the temporary payment coupons that you would have received at closing along with your closing paperwork. If it is not to be paid to Stockton, we will return the check to you via mail with a letter that will tell you where to send your payment.

If you ever have questions, please call us at 502-227-1100. Please note that we operate from 9:00-5:00pm Eastern. If you need to communicate outside of those hours, please email servicing@stockton.com

Perfect! In this letter you should see a phone number for the company that you will be making your mortgage payment to. THIS IS IMPORTANT- You will want to confirm which month’s payment is due to that company according to the letter. The payment detailed in this statement letter MIGHT NOT be your upcoming payment, but instead the next month’s payment.

If it is your upcoming payment, call the phone number listed for the new servicing company to make your mortgage payment.

If it is NOT for your upcoming payment, but instead is for next month’s payment, your first monthly payment is due to Stockton Mortgage. You should have already received a first statement in the mail from us. If this isn’t the case and you didn’t receive a first statement from Stockton Mortgage or if you have questions, please call us at 502-227-1100. Please note that we operate from 9:00am-5:00pm Eastern. If you need to communicate outside of those hours, please email servicing@stockton.com

Yes! (What a relief, I know) We would recommend waiting until your second or third month’s mortgage payment to set this up. The reason being: sometimes who you make your payment to changes. (You can read more about why that happens here if you’d like)

If you are making your mortgage payments to Stockton Mortgage and have not received a letter in the mail to make your payment elsewhere then you can set this up by clicking “Manage My Loan” at the top of the screen and logging into your account or by calling 855-972-7628.

If you are NOT making your mortgage payments to Stockton Mortgage, please contact the company to whom you are making the payments to get instructions on how to set up automatic payments.

If you are making your payments to Stockton Mortgage, you cannot do semi-monthly / bi-monthly payments (pay on the 1st and the 15th), however, you can set up bi-weekly automatic payments (payments every 14 days). If you are NOT making your mortgage payments to Stockton Mortgage, please contact the company to whom you are making the payments to find out what repayment options exist. They may offer the semi-monthly/bi-monthly payment option.

Here’s how these repayment options are different:

A semi-monthly or bi-monthly mortgage payment schedule is structured to be paid on two dates per month, such as the 1st and 15th. This results in 24 payments per year.

With Bi-weekly payments the borrower ends up making 13 full payments per year. They make one extra full payment per calendar year by paying a half payment every 14 days.  This method of payment allows the homeowner to pay principal balance faster by making an extra pull payment per year.

No. The due date is always the 1st of the month but payments received between the 1st and 15th are considered on time. It’s important to note there may be a late fee if the payment has not been received by the 15th.

You likely received a servicing transfer letter or a goodbye letter. It’s not uncommon. You can read more about why this happens here if you’d like

This happens when the loan changes ownership. As a result, you will need to change where you make your payment. In this letter you will find a phone number for the company that you will be making your mortgage payment to. THIS IS IMPORTANT- You will want to check to see which month’s payment is due to that company. The payment requested in this most recent letter MIGHT NOT be for the very next payment.

If you made a payment to Stockton that should have been paid elsewhere, all is not lost! If we receive a payment that is not due to Stockton, we will mail the payment back to the homeowner with a copy of the letter that tells you where your payment is to be made.
