Throw a Virtual Kentucky Derby Party

Throw a Virtual Kentucky Derby Party

The Kentucky Derby. It is the fastest two minutes in sports and an event that is steeped in tradition. For those who were raised in Kentucky, this event often marked the start of Spring—always being held the first Saturday in May. As with many celebrations this year the Derby has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. So, while the official running of the 146th Kentucky Derby will be happening September 5, 2020, we do not have to put off having a Derby Party until then as long as the Kentucky Derby Party is a virtual one.

The Truth about Forbearance

There has been a lot of talk about forbearance in the mortgage world lately. For those who are experiencing difficulty making their mortgage payments a forbearance could be a good solution but it may not be the best solution for each situation. It's best to understand what a forbearance is, as well as what it isn't before making a decision.

Protect Yourself from Phone Spoofing

Protect Yourself from Phone Spoofing As many organizations step up to help those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, there are others who are stepping in to exploit this crisis through phishing scams and cyber-attacks. There has been a major increase in scamming attempts via phone calls and text messages—even some impersonating government organizations like Freddie Mac. Take-A-Ways from the MBAKY Education Conference

Take-A-Ways from the MBAKY Education Conference  Yesterday, several members of Stockton Mortgage team had the opportunity to attend and present at the Mortgage Banker Association of KY’s education conference held at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. I thought the museum was one of the best venues used to host this conference, not only was the space perfect to accommodate our group but it was fun too! Did you get to try out the Corvette simulator? It was awesome; thanks to Barbi and the Essent team for sponsoring this. My only regret is that I didn’t win the raffle for a chance to drive a real Corvette on the test track.  —congrats to Pam Thompson who was the lucky winner of that dream experience.  Can’t wait to hear all about it Pam.

Why We Moved

We have moved—and here is why. Saturday, we said goodbye to our old office on Tylersville Road that we have occupied since 2017. While our office location has remained the same, so much has changed over these last three years. Not only have we developed wonderful relationships with several Realtors, insurance agents, and other neighboring businesses but we have established a wonderful team of mortgage professionals who are truly making a difference in our community.
