As many organizations step up to help those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, there are others who are stepping in to exploit this crisis through phishing scams and cyber-attacks. There has been a major increase in scamming attempts via phone calls and text messages—even some impersonating government organizations like Freddie Mac. So, just as we are being urged to be vigilant in protecting ourselves from germs, we must take precautions to protect ourselves from these criminals attempting to use “phone spoofing” to fool us.

Take-A-Ways from the MBAKY Education Conference Yesterday, several members of Stockton Mortgage team had the opportunity to attend and present at the Mortgage Banker Association of KY’s education conference held at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. I thought the museum was one of the best venues used to host this conference, not only was the space perfect to accommodate our group but it was fun too! Did you get to try out the Corvette simulator? It was awesome; thanks to Barbi and the Essent team for sponsoring this. My only regret is that I didn’t win the raffle for a chance to drive a real Corvette on the test track. —congrats to Pam Thompson who was the lucky winner of that dream experience. We have moved—and here is why. Saturday, we said goodbye to our old office on Tylersville Road that we have occupied since 2017. While our office location has remained the same, so much has changed over these last three years. Not only have we developed wonderful relationships with several Realtors, insurance agents, and other neighboring businesses but we have established a wonderful team of mortgage professionals who are truly making a difference in our community.
